Tradition in the Orthodox Church

The following materials were gathered over a period of ten years for a variety of reasons. Those from before 1989, were written for the Journal Christian Life Magazine a quaterly publication of the Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church.

While all the articles were written for a specific pastoral or educational purpose, they are sufficiently general that they may, hopefully, be read with profit even by those not in the originally intended audiences. These materials were chosen because we were told by some of the original readers that they had gained new understanding of their Faith by reading them.

They were chosen for this and for no other reason. Those readers who are acquainted with the church's spiritual and theological fathers will recognize the teaching and its sources easily enough . There is no attempt at 'originality' or 'freshness' of exposition.
